A fim de escapar da multiplicidade de métodos que impossibilita essa discussão em termos de sua singularidade, propõe-se um recuo básico à fenomenologia, buscando um apoio anterior às diversas ciências que se preocupam com a religião, inclusive a própria teologia. Éreconhecida a busca do absoluto religioso que perpassa o pensamento de filósofos, teólogos e, mais recentemente, o dos próprios sociólogos da religião. Tenta-se então, através das pistas metodológicas apontadas, buscar na experiência religiosa os fundamentos necessários para uma discussão da ciência da religião. | ||
| 520 | |a This article is an attempt to establish the basis for a discussion about the very epistemological possibility of a science of religion. ln order to avoid the multiplicity of methods which prevents such a discussion in its singularity, a basic stepping back to phenomenology is proposed. In this way, a theoretical backing previous to the several sciences concerned with religion, including theology, is looked for. The search for the religious absolute which pervades the thinking of philosophers, theologians and, more recently, even that of sociologists of religion, is recognized. The attempt is then made, through some of the methodological clues hinted at, to seek in religious experience for the necessary grounding leading to a discussion of the Cience of religion. | ||
