| Summary: | Este artigo apresenta uma reflexão aproximativa da experiência de Deus nas religiões, partindo da perspectiva localizada da teologia cristã das religiões, mormente de inspiração católico-romana. Com base na distinção estabelecida por R. C Zaehner entre as religiões proféticas ou monoteístas e orientais ou misticas, busca-se apresentar de forma panorãmica e concisa o modo como as tradições judaica, cristã, islâmica e budista expressam a realidade do mistério fundamental. Em seguida, apontam-se os traços comuns e as tensões presentes entre o cristianismo e estas tradições reHgiosas. O objetivo é mostrar a viabilidade de uma perspectiva ecumênica planetária, que possa abarcar as diversas tradições religiosas em vista do bem-estar ecoumano, bem como defender teologicamente a plausibilidade de um pluralismo religioso de direito. This article makes an attempt to approach the experience of God in the religions, starting from the particular perspective of a Christian theology of religions, especially as it is pursued in the Roman Catholic tradition. On the basis of the distinction drawn by R. C Zaehner between prophetic monotheistic religions, on the one hand, and oriental/mystical religions, on the other, an effort is made to present in concise and overview form the ways in which Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Buddhist traditions express the reality of fundamental mystery. After that, the article singles out the common features as well as the tensions existing between Christianity and the other world religious traditions. Our goal is a twofold one: first, to show the viability of a planetary ecumenic perspective which would be able to embrace the various religious traditions with a view to eco-human wellbeing; and second, to defend theologically the plausibility of a de jure religious pluralism. |
