AB Neste texto o autor apresenta uma síntese da filosofia da religião de Kant. Ele mostra a relevância das críticas de Kant para a reflexão pós-kantiana sobre a religião. Mas ele também acentua as ambigüidades em que o pensamento de Kant se envolveu. O ponto principal é que há uma cisão entre a crítica da razão pura e a da razão prática. Isto levou a problemas teóricos que só poderiam ter sido resolvidos pelo abrandamento da reivindicação de autonomia racional. Apesar disso, a filosofia de Kant continha o núcleo para os desenvolvimentos posteriores -divergentes -na filosofia da religião.
AB In  this  text  the  author  presents  an  overview  of  Kant's  philosophy  of  religion.  He  shows  the relevance  of  Kant's  critiques  for  the post-Kantian  reflection on  religion.  But  he  also stresses the ambiguities  in  which  Kant's  thought was  involved.  The  main  point  is  that  there  is  a cleavage between  the  critique  of  pure  reason  and that  of  practical reason.  This led  to  theoretical problems  that could  only have  been  resolved  by  softening  the  claim  of  rational  autonomy.  In spite  of  that,  Kant's  philosophy contained  the  kernel  for  the  - divergent - later  developments in  the  philosophy of  religion.
