Nel contributo si esplicita soprattutto: il collegamento del bene giuridico del celibato con il carattere e la dinamica dell’Ordine; lo stacco concettuale e normativo rispetto al voto di castità; il profilo ontologico-esistenziale e non semplicemente disciplinare della prescrizione ecclesiastica. La condizione celibataria determina precisi sviluppi o conseguenze operative nella vita del presbitero. La secolarizzazione e la mondanità costituiscono serie insidie per la castità del chierico in riferimento all’atteggiamento interpersonale (troppo disinibito e confidenziale), alla frequentazione di ambienti poco consoni e all’approccio al mondo digitale (spesso soggetto a erotismo, dipendenza e vanità). La cura del celibato (maturazione affettiva e capacità di donazione) comporta il concorso virtuoso dell’agente nella linea della prudenza e della temperanza ed è indirizzata alla paternità spirituale del chierico. Starting from an analysis of current legislation and magisterial indications, this article explores the deontological and rational bases for the gift of celibacy, primarily delineating the relationship of the juridical good of celibacy with the character and dynamics of the Order, its conceptual and normative separation with regard to the vow of chastity, and the not merely disciplinary, but ontological-existential profile of this prescription of the Church. The condition of celibacy represents a determining element for certain specific developments and consequences in the life of the priest, and yet it is seriously threatened by secularization and worldliness, especially concerning attitudes toward interpersonal relationships (characterized by an excessive informality and lack of inhibition), the frequenting of environments inconsonant with the life of the priest, and the approach to the digital world (often characterized by eroticism, dependency and vanity). Caring for the gift of celibacy (affective maturity and capacity for self-donation), directed toward the spiritual fatherhood of the priest, entails the harmonious collaboration of prudence and temperance. | ||
