In tale prospettiva prendono rilievo alcuni nodi teorico-pratici dei quali la Teologia pastorale intende farsi carico: quello di un necessario ripensamento del processo del diventare cristiani; quello della cultura come educazione; quello del diritto all’educazione e all’insegnamento e quello – centrale e decisivo – della verità, cristianamente intesa. Il progetto di Dio non è ‘deducibile’ dalle attese dell’uomo e, tuttavia, non si pone fuori dalle attese dell’uomo, ma le porta a inveramento e a verità. In questo è scritta una norma fondamentale della inculturazione della fede. Il credente non può limitarsi alla ripetizione difensiva; è chiamato a una evangelizzazione creativa. Tale creatività è autentica quando respira le dimensioni proprie e il genio del tempo, e quando – indissolubilmente – è originata e innervata dal riferimento sorgivo e normativo a Gesù. La domanda di salvezza non è prodotta dalla evangelizzazione, piuttosto la precede; ma è la forza del Vangelo – nella sua discrezione culturale e nella sua forza testimoniale – che la esplicita, la fa emergere, la chiarisce e la tematizza. This paper focuses on catechesis in the broader perspective of evangelization and inculturation. In this perspective, some theoretical and practical issues become even more relevant and Pastoral Theology wants to deal with them: the need to rethink the process of becoming Christians; the issue of culture as education; the right to education and to teaching; the central and crucial issue of the truth, to be understood in Christian terms. God’s plan can not be deduced from the expectations of men and women. However, God’s plan is not alien to these expectations, because it makes them come into reality. Thus, a fundamental law of faith inculturation is laid out. The believer can not limit himself to defensive repetition: he is called to creative evangelization. Such creativity is authentic when it draws from the typical elements and the genius of the current period and – indissolubly – from the original and normative link to Jesus. The demand for salvation comes before evangelization rather than being brought about by it. It is the power of the Gospel, though, with its cultural discretion and the strength of its witness, to bring this demand out and to make it more explicit, clearer and thematized. | ||
