Description
Summary:60 youth workers, theologians and mission practitioners from 20 nations gathered in the UK in January at a conference sponsored by the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and Oxford Youth Works. The impetus for the gathering came from the sense that Popular Youth Culture, broadcast through the media, has had a major impact on young people. Churches in almost all countries have found this culture alien and difficult to understand or address. Youth leaders within the church are exploring innovative patterns for youth ministry as they wrestle with a wholistic gospel response to young people's situations. The conference produced a 25 page report of which the following is a summary.
