AB There is misunderstanding and disagreement about inculturation, often mistaken for what is really acculturation. Much work has concentrated on liturgy or rite. The author re-examines the nature and fruits of authentic inculturation, re-situating it in its broadest context, in the hope that it might stimulate the analogical imagination 1 and contribute to the ongoing dialogue.
