| Summary: | Resumo: Este artigo discute a representaçãodo sagrado e do profano, no conto ‘’A hora e a vez de Augusto Matraga’’, de Guimarães Rosa. Através da figura do jagunço e do sertanejo, o escritor rompe com a dicotomia entre o bem e o mal tal como aventada pelo cristianismo ortodoxo e propõe uma espécie de confluência entre esses dois extremos de forma que o bem é visto como imbricado no mal e o mal imbricado no bem. Defenderemos que todo o conto é constituído baseado nesse pressuposto, cujo ápice se dá quando o herói imoral assume ares messiânicos, momento este que se configura como uma ironia de Rosa, em uma relação de intertextualidade com o texto bíblico. This article analyzes the representation of the sacred and the profane in the short story The time and place of Augusto Matraga from João Guimarães Rosa. Through the figure of the gunman and countryman, the writer breaks with the dichotomy between good and evil, present in certain Christian traditions, proposing a kind of confluence between these two extremes, so that the well is seen as interwoven in evil and evil imbricated in the well. Drawing on Bauman and Kuschel, defend the whole story is this ruled that assumption, whose summit is when immoral hero takes on messianic airs, which constitutes an irony from Rosa in an intertextual relationship with the Bible. |
