Summary: | What are the characteristic notions of new-testament justice? Can contemporary society – hyper-technological and multicultural as it is – be the terrain for the realization of a biblically determined justice, in order to make the search for happiness plausible for every individual? In this essay, I will try to find some partial answers to these two questions. Starting from an exegetic-hermeneutic analysis of the attestation of the terms justice/just in the New Testament, I will first illustrate what it means to be just and practice justice for the God of Jesus Christ and for human beings according to the New Testament and next, offer suggestions and proposals for comparison between these ethical values and some instances of contemporary culture. |
