Summary:Via the writings of two well-known female Muslim theologians, Riffat Hassan from Pakistan and the African-American Amina Wadud, this short essay wants to shed light on a school of thought - little known in Italy – active in the animated female world of Islam: feminist Islamic theology. I will sketch the biographies of these two intellectuals and illustrate the methodology used in their writings as well as the principle topics and arguments drawn upon.
