RT Article T1 Das phönizische Kolorit von Psalm 45 JF Zeitschrift für die alttestamentliche Wissenschaft VO 133 IS 3 SP 371 OP 380 A1 Mathys, Hans-Peter 1951- LA German PB De Gruyter YR 2021 UL https://ixtheo.de/Record/1777121744 AB Psalm 45 has - apart from its frame - a distinct Phoenician orientation. In addition to the »daughter of Tyre,« there are mythical-theological aspects that point to Phoenicia, such the titling of the king as a god, the pairing of God’s law and justice, and the parallel expression »scepter and throne«; likewise, there are also »civilizational« aspects, such as the emphasis on beauty, clothing, ivory palaces, myrrh, aloes, and cassia, and finally the extensive, primarily female constellation of people in the psalm. This thesis finds support through texts of various origins, but especially from the Old Testament. DO 10.1515/zaw-2021-3004
