The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Tiananmen Square crisis and Gulf War in 1991, Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, death of Princess Diana in 1997, the Y2K scare in 1999, and the September 11, 2001 event have all demonstrated the power of the media to inform and shape our perceptions of reality. These developments represent important cultural texts that missiologists ought to be studying. | ||
