This work, however, foundered in the mid-1970s. In 1985 it was suggested to Donald Lewis that he attempt to revive the project. This was done in consultation with Walls following a reconceptualization of the project and the overcoming of various logistical (and financial) barriers.The resulting publication provides coverage of both major and minor figures associated in some way with the evangelical movement throughout the English-speaking world (broadly conceived to include areas of British missionary activity). Some 3,500 entries were written by over 360 different historians. | ||
