Joseph as Pedagogue: Biblical Precedents for the Depiction of Joseph in Aramaic Levi (4Q213)
The present article examines several biblical passages which have been interpreted as portraying Joseph as functioning, inter alia, as a pedagogue. On the basis of these passages a new translation of Aramaic Levi (4Q213, frag. 1 i, ll. 11-12) is proposed.
