Description
Résumé:This paper concentrates on the identification of the theological system tied to the oldest layer of the editorial evolution of the so-called «pseudo-clementine novel». The later material, extended to form the present novel, are said to have been produced by a Judaeo-Christian religious group: special attention will be paid to the ritual baths of this community. By way of ritual ablutions the Judaeo-Christians wanted to purify body and spirit from contaminations likely to draw demonic powers upon individuals.
