Description
Summary:The Second Vatican Council represents a determinate turn in the comprehension of the church, its nature, and its mystery. This calls for innovative church models to be recommended today, capable of adequately envisioning how the church of tomorrow can and will be. This paper draws practicable outlines for tomorrow’s ecclesiology, using the category of «vector ̈ borrowed from the vocabulary of physics. The author traces four vectors that can promote the discussion of the church. These are belief, the community, the mission, and the dialogue. These topics refer to various documents of Vatican II and especially to the four fundamental constitutions of the council, texts that constitute the theological, biblical, and pastoral basis for a prospected renovation of the church.
