| Summary: | The many sides to the face of Jesus and of his saving actions, already present in the New Testament, are today an objective fact, which necessarily must be taken into consideration. This paper is an attempt to document, beyond the different perspectives from which Jesus is interpreted, how it is indispensable to consider the redemptive action of Christ as the revelation of God’s merciful love, which offers pardon free and bestows the spirit of life. Only in this perspective is it possible to reread the path of Jesus and understand his own personal awareness of his mission and of how he faced death, to penetrate his inner world, the forms of life he invented and the dynamics he put into motion. When it is actively discovered and lived, the truth of Christ can fl ower and expand in a contagious fashion. |
