Niklas Luhmann’s systemic approach, the idea of functional differentiation, and contin-gency as the main characteristics of our society seem to offer the best tools to foster, on the one hand, a «function of religion» which is less confessional, innovation-friendly, and focused on God and, on the other, a perspective capable of avoiding the risk that innovation becomes a form of religion in our society. | ||
