The purpose of this article is to give a general introduction to the classic issues scholarship has identified and struggled with in the attempt to read the book as genuinely as possible. Three specific areas will be discussed: the form of the book as we have it, the genres contained in the book, and the historical situation out of which the book was born. | ||
