Para tal empreendimento foi necessário revisitar a teoria da secularização e, no mo-mento seguinte, com o auxílio de Maurice Halbwachs e Danièle Hervieu-Léger, procurar ferramentas para entender a religiosidade como memória que oferece identidade, possibilitando aos grupos religiosos mudarem sem, entretanto, reconhecer que mudaram e essas mudanças em relação ao fe-nômeno pentecostal brasileiro desembocaram em grupos religiosos marca-dos pelo emocionalismo, onde a experiência individual e emocional tem produzido as chamadas “comunidades emocionais”. Para fundamentar essa tese foi escolhido um quadro do programa SHOW DA FÉ, da Igreja Internacional da Graça de Deus, onde o emocionalismo tem despontado como marca registrada. | ||
| 520 | |a The goal of this work is to understand which are the real chances of religion to play an important role in such a secularized world, which is nowadays scarred by a great deal of disenchantement. To do so, the secularization theory was revisited as well as Maurice Halbwachs and Danièle Hervieu-Léger’s bodies of work. Those sources provided tools to understand religiosity as memory that offers a sense of identity, allowing religious groups to change without acknowledging it. It is also our purpose to relate those changes to the Brazilian Pentecostal phenomenon which yielded groups based on emotionalism, the so-called “emotional communities”.To support this point of view, a TV show, “Show da fé” (faith show), pre-sented by the God ́s Grace International Church was studied. In this show, the emotionalism is the main characteristic. | ||
