Erstes Ergebnis dieser Bemühungen ist der Verbundkatalog Judaica, der über die Suchmaschine MetaLib des KOBV ein Retrieval über verteilte lokale Ressourcen im Bereich Judaistik (Fachausschnitte der OPACs großer Bibliotheken der Region Berlin-Brandenburg sowie Kataloge kleinerer Einrichtungen) ermöglicht. Der Verbundkatalog soll um weitere regionale Bestandsnachweise von Judaica- und Hebraica-Sammlungen sowie um E-Publikationen, Digitalisate usw. erweitert werden. | ||
| 520 | |a This article deals with the newly established consortium for Judaica in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, which has taken on the task of promoting various projects (cataloguing, retrospective cataloguing, digitization, and packaging of information, etc.) atthe regional level with a view toward participating in a virtual special library. The first result of these efforts is the union catalogue Judaica, which enables access and retrieval of local resources through the search engine MetaLib on the internet portal of the union catalogue KOBV by extracting the relevant sections of both larger academic library OPACs and the catalogues of smaller institutions in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. There are plans to expand this new union catalogue with holdings of further Judaica and Hebraica collections, as well as with electronic publications and digitized items. | ||
