Summary: | Many theological questions are involved in Christ's obedience, such as Filiation, Incarnation, and salvation. Starting with the Christology of the first centuries, we intend to articulate the essential contents that have been highlighted in the last decades, collecting the main contributions into two dimensions: that of filial obedience and that of redemptive obedience. The dimensions of fidelity, solidarity and corporeity will find their source and their purpose. Jesus Christ's obedience is discovered as a decisive theological factor in understanding His Sonship and His gift of salvation. From the corporeal Jesus's obedience the ecclesial identity and mission are illuminated. |
