Elle a mis en évidence les bienfaits de la foi chrétienne avec des croyants soucieux du bien d’autrui, créatifs, au service du bien commun, mais aussi des dysfonctionnements institutionnels, de l’inertie, du repli sur soi. Elle a montré des ouvertures hospitalières donnant à l’Église le visage d’un «hôpital de campagne» et des fermetures récriminantes, impatientes, négligeant le risque sanitaire et revendiquant des rites comme si ceux-ci résumaient la foi chrétienne et pouvaient suffire. La contribution éclaire ce fossé grandissant entre catholiques mais aussi entre l’Église et la société. Elle dresse d’abord un bref état des lieux du vécu en Église cristallisé par la participation à l’Eucharistie et qui servira de loupe à cette réflexion; ensuite elle examine quelques questions pastorales et théologiques autour de la messe et dont ces récriminations sont le reflet; enfin, en guise de conclusion, elle resitue les réponses ecclésiales à la Covid-19 dans le cadre de la réforme de l’Église voulue par le pape François pour contrer le cléricalisme, source d’abus et d’intransigeances. | ||
| 520 | |a Covid-19 was experienced in France as a revelation of the functioning of the Catholic Church and its place in society. The crisis highlighted the virtues of the Christian faith for believers who are concerned about the welfare of others and who are creative and put themselves at the service of the common good, but also the institutional dysfunctions, the inertia and the withdrawal into themselves. It showed hospitable openness that gave the church the face of a 'country hospital' together with reproachful, impatient closures that neglected health risks and demanded liturgies as if these could sufficiently express Christian faith. This article sheds light on this growing divide among Catholics and between church and society. It begins with a brief review of the practice of the Church as seen in participation in the Eucharist, which serves as a magnifying glass for this reflection. It then explores some pastoral and theological issues around the Mass that are reflected in these recriminations. Finally, by way of conclusion, it situates the Church’s responses to Covid-19 in the context of Pope Francis’ reform that addresses clericalism in the Church as a source of abuse and intransigence. | ||

Die Krise hob die Vorzüge des christlichen Glaubens hervor, dank der Gläubigen, die um das Wohl anderer besorgt sind, die kreativ sind und sich in den Dienst des Gemeinwohls stellen. Sie zeigte aber auch die institutionellen Dysfunktionen, die Trägheit, den Rückzug in sich selbst. Sie zeigte gastfreundliche Offenheit, die der Kirche das Gesicht eines 'Feldlazaretts' gaben, und vorwurfsvolle, ungeduldige Abschließungen, die das Gesundheitsrisiko vernachlässigten und Liturgien einforderten, als ob diese den christlichen Glauben ausreichend zum Ausdruck bringen könnten. Dieser Beitrag beleuchtet diese wachsende Kluft unter den Katholiken und zwischen Kirche und Gesellschaft. Er beginnt mit einem kurzen Rückblick auf die Praxis der Kirche, wie sie sich in der Teilnahme an der Eucharistie zeigt, was als ein Brennglas für diese Reflexion dient. Dann untersucht er einige pastorale und theologische Fragen rund um die Messe, die sich in diesen Vorwürfen widerspiegeln. Schließlich, als Schlussfolgerung, verortet er die kirchlichen Antworten auf Covid-19 im Kontext der von Papst Franziskus angestrebten Reform der Kirche, um dem Klerikalismus, einer Quelle des Missbrauchs und der Unnachgiebigkeit, zu begegnen. | ||
