Zusammenfassung: | This paper reflects the experience of two people, one who ministers and one who received the ministration. The paper presents personal experiences of ministry in acute and rehabilitation facilities, from a woman hospitalized for some fifteen months and a chaplain who ministered to her. The chaplains, or ministers, in the two hospitals included men and women, Catholic and Protestant. The styles and the messages of the chaplains varied; so also did the patient's ability to respond to them. We hope that by presenting two real-life experiences of ministry, we can help those in ministry to better understand the patients' needs and strengthen their own ministries. |
