总结:The Christmas season, while it is traditionally a time of celebration, can be a troubling time for those experiencing grief, loss, or marginalization. Those in institutions such as mental hospitals, institutions for people with mental retardation, and homes for unwed mothers often experience distress during this time. Although it can be veiled by casual remarks, stress, or anger, parishioners often reveal their disturbed feelings in ways that the sensitive pastor can notice. In this sense, an attentive pastor can use the Christmas season for effective pastoral care of those who are disturbed in a wide variety of ways.
