Of particular concern for feminist theologians and ethicists is the dominant language of embodiment and wholeness pervasive in feminist theological ethics. In this paper, I argue that feminist theologies of embodiment and wholeness are incomplete without understanding what these terms mean for persons with disabilities.1 I also challenge the discipline to actively prepare the community by looking critically at its language and pedagogy to create a theological ethic where one can be “different but not alienated.”
