Description
Summary:The article presents a Marian interpretation of the encyclical Fratelli tutti - "All Brothers and Sisters", following the suggestion of Pope Francis who hopes for a renewal of the Church in the light of Mary's motherhood; a model of welcome and service. Mary's motherhood allows, in fact, to refl ect on the Christological incentives of universal brethren, centred on the paschal mystery of the Son, in the sense of the Incarnation. In this light, her example as a woman of the new covenant represents the highest example of self-giving love, of openness to others, with the awareness that we have all been elected and sanctifi ed in Christ through the Spirit, as children and brothers and sisters in faith. Her generative and welcoming faith is a sign of the new humanity that is reborn from water and the Spirit and which bears in her depths an imprint of the bonds of universal brotherhood that Christ Jesus brought to earth.
