| Summary: | The article deals with the relevance of love in the act of matrimonial consent by calling to mind magisterial, doctrinal and jurisprudential advancements, which are in turn examined in light of Pope Francis' apostolic exhortation Amoris laetitia. Love, though not coinciding with the bonum coniugum, is an expression of conjugality and of those aspects of conjugality that are manifested in married life, without ever becoming an object of matrimonial choice or an indispensable element for the manifestation of a valid consent, however fundamental it may be to the sacrament of marriage. L'articolo accosta il tema della rilevanza nell'amore nell'atto del consenso matrimoniale richiamando le acquisizioni magisteriali, dottrinali e giurisprudenziali e confrontandole con quanto si legge nell'esortazione apostolica di papa Francesco Amoris laetitia. L'amore, pur non coincidendo con il bonum coniugum, è espressione della coniugalità e delle dimensioni in cui essa si manifesta nella realizzazione nel tempo della vita coniugale, senza con questo diventare oggetto della scelta matrimoniale né elemento indispensabile per la manifestazione di un valido consenso, pur essendo fondamento del sacramento nuziale. |
