AB "Due to an increase in civil law custodial agreements that require the consent of both parents for any decisions affecting the spiritual upbringing of their minor children, the diocesan general counsel's office has recommended that the diocesan bishop enact a particular law requiring the consent of both parents for the reception of the sacrament of baptism. The bishop has questioned whether such a law would be in accord with canon law. Can you advise?"
