Description
Summary:"Bishop N recently reached 75 years of age and, in accord with canon 401, §1 of the Code of Canon Law, duly submitted his resignation as bishop of the Diocese of X to the Holy Father, who accepted it. As the weeks and months passed, Bishop N experienced a deep longing for prayer, penance, and solitude. After consulting his spiritual director on several occasions, he has become convinced that the Lord is inviting him to spend the rest of his days in prayer, self-denial, and quiet. Bishop N wonders whether he could become a hermit according to canon 603, §2."
