Summary:"On February 22, 2008, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops circulated a document entitled "Responsa ad proposita dubia" with an Explanatory Article, sent by William Cardinal Levada, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, to the Presidents of the Episcopal Conferences, regarding the formula of words used at Baptism. Cardinal Levada's letter is dated February 6, 2008, with the note that the "Responsa" would be published on March 1, 2008 in L'Osservatore Romano, until which time it remained strictly confidential. The text of the letter is addressed to the Presidents of the Episcopal Conferences. The "Responsa" is "Enclosure l " and the "Explanatory Article," written by Msgr. Antonio Miralles, is "Enclosure 2. ""
