Description
Summary:"In our diocese, some parishes have been merged or united, leaving remaining parishes with more than one church still being used Certain other parishes have had a mission church already for a long time. Questions arise concerning the celebration of the title and anniversary of dedication of these various churches. Chiefly, we want to know whether all the solemnities of the title and the anniversary of the dedication of each of these churches are celebrated by the parish, or does it suffice only to observe those of the principal parish church? In a merged parish which has a new name, do you celebrate the feast of title and dedication of the new parish, or do you observe all the original feasts and dedication dates? For example, the bishop merged three parishes, all with titles of female saints, and named the new entity "Three Holy Women Parish." Do they celebrate all three saints' names plus Three Holy Women, or can they just celebrate Three Holy Women?"
