Deacon assisting at a marriage during mass: Canon 1108

"Can a deacon officiate at a wedding during a nuptial Mass being celebrated by a priest who will not himself ask for and receive the exchange of consent? Or even within the Rite of Marriage Outside of Mass, if a priest is present; is a deacon still permitted to officiate?"
