Summary:Some illustrious authors mention the "Statua Synodalia" that the bishop pedro de Ocaña would have promulgated in Guadix in 1474, and that supposedly remain in a manuscript of the Vatican Library. We have located and examined the Vatican manuscript that gave origin to this news, and it turns out that it contains a few episcopal constitutions that are not sinodal, an that are of the diocese of Cadiz and not of Guadix. The compilation of constitutions is signed by the bishop of Cadiz Pedro Fernández de Solís in 1484 and contains principally constitutions that he promulgated between 1474 and 1484.
