Description
Summary:The possible remedies for a conjugal relationship in crisis have a significant importance for the pastoral care of marriages. Church law recognizes the seperation of spouses, but the lack of civil effects for canonical measures has led the legislator to establish a balanced system in which, on the one hand, the need of the faithful to repeat a civil process in the canonical forum is avoided and, on the other hand, the right of the ordinary to interverne in these questions ist guaranteed, as is the right of the spouses to obtain an eccesiastical decision in this matter. The article examines the priciples and the canonical procedure of seperation both in its administrative and judicial forms
