Ariel contre Ariel: Es 29,1-7 LXX vs TM
Le début du chapitre 29 d’Ésaïe évoque la ville d’Ariel, inconnue par ailleurs ; le toponyme est simplement translittéré dans la Septante. Philippe Le Moigne propose cependant de donner à ce terme, en grec, un sens différent de celui que l’on s’accorde à donner au mot hébreu.

The 29th chapter of the book of Isaiah begins with the mention of the city of Ariel, which is not known elsewhere ; the toponym is simply transliterated in the Septuagint. The author suggests nevertheless to give to this Greek word another meaning than the one unanimously given to the Hebrew term. |
