AB The author discusses the problem in defining the scope and determining the meaning of the concept of „religious experience”in cultural anthropology. She identifies an individual religious experience which can cause particular difficulties to ethnographers seeking to interpret and describe it. These considerations are illustrated using a selected example from her field research.
