It seems that president Putin and the government use conservative discourse to achieve concrete political goals, including the modernization of the country, but under strong leadership, and restoring social order (state, family, religion). They are not criticized for being too conservative, but for not being conservative enough. Where does this criticism come from and what does the conservative opposition in Russia want if it comes to power? If you look more closely, you may be surprised and observe the unlikely synthesis between Soviet ideology and the ideology of the Tsarist Empire. | ||
