However, when other factors are taken into account, for example, budget deficit, trade deficit, public debt and the state of the manufacturing sector, the economy had worsened. Trump’s “America first” was expressed with a non-cooperative ideology, whereby the US pursued its own self-interests with regard to trade, military policy, climate change and nuclear policy. Joe Biden’s programme represents an alternative, which is closer to the goals of sustainability and inclusive development. The time has come to give Biden his first 100 days in office, and then evaluate the results. | ||
