This hermeneutic has to be substantiated in the discussion of apocalyptic texts that appear to be full of violence. In dramatic perspective the lamb, slaughtered but victorious and as such a Christ-like figure, is at the centre of the Book of Revelation. The entire book can be read with the Christ figure as a starting point. In the context of the hermeneutic 5-act-concept Revelation is an epilogue where in a new situation, in an intensified form and with new images and symbols a message consistent with that of the gospels is communicated. | ||
