I provide an argument against the reduceability of personal identity to other relations. It Starts with what it means for us pre-theoretically to be identical over time and proceeds to the conclusion that a complété description of the world that does not include me cannot entail the fact whether I am identical over time or not. From this follows that every description of the world that entails my identity must also entail me as part of that description and thus must remain uninformative. Finally, 1 will discuss ontological implications of this insight. | ||
