This presentation is the response of Christianity in a socio-religious environment where pagan deities in anthropomorphized form were presented with both violent and vindictive traits. The First Lucan community, on the contrary, narrates the face of the Crucified announcing forgiveness to everyone. The centurion, who recognizes the true identity of Jesus, represents the Greco-Roman readers of pagan religion who adhere to the faith in the merciful God. | ||

Emerge soprattutto l'immagine di un crocifisso, che rivela un Dio misericordioso il quale perdona sia i suoi accusatori che i malfattori condannati assieme a lui. Questa presentazione è la risposta del cristianesimo in un ambiente socio-religioso in cui le divinità pagane in forma antropomorfizzata venivano presentate con tratti sia violenti che vendicativi. La prima comunità lucana, al contrario, narra il volto del crocifisso che annuncia a tutti il perdono. Il centurione, che riconosce la vera identità di Gesù, rappresenta i lettori greco-romani di religione pagana che aderiscono alla fede nel Dio misericordioso. | ||
