Sumario:In his autobiographical novel, El oro de Mallorca, Rubén Darío undresses his soul and shows his deepest religious concerns. This article examines the poet's experiences during his last and decisive visit to the island of Mallorca at the end of 1913. There he takes stock of his life, while he internally debates between his longing for God and the weaknesses and doubts that beset him.
