520 | |a By taking into account the plurality of religions present in Italian schools, mainly linked to the phenomenon of migration, in this essay the first results of a qualitative analysis of the image of Muslims and Islām, as religion and culture, that emerges from some Italian religion textbooks for upper secondary school have been presented. The theoretical value framework is outlined in which such analyses can more effectively be performed. Moreover, attention has been given to the cultural and educational implications that textbooks have on students, especially in multicultural and multilingual classrooms. Although they cannot resolve political and social tensions between communities, teachers and educators play a central role in educating their students. Consequently, didactic materials, together with specific educational approaches and methodologies, can be crucial in promoting respect for diversity and mutual understanding. | ||
520 | |a Prendendo in considerazione la pluralità di religioni presenti nelle scuole italiane, principalmente legata al fenomeno migratorio, in questo saggio si presentano i primi risultati di un’analisi qualitativa relativa all’immagine dei musulmani e dell’Islām, come religione e cultura, che emerge da alcuni libri di testo italiani di religione per la scuola secondaria di secondo grado. Si delinea il quadro teoricovaloriale in cui simili analisi possono essere eseguite in modo più efficace. Inoltre, è stata prestata attenzione alle implicazioni culturali ed educative che i libri di testo hanno sugli studenti, specialmente in classi multiculturali e multilingue. Sebbene non possano risolvere tensioni politiche e sociali tra le comunità, insegnanti ed educatori svolgono un ruolo centrale nell’educazione dei loro studenti. Pertanto, i materiali didattici, insieme a specifici approcci educativi e metodologie, possono essere cruciali nel promuovere il rispetto per la diversità e la comprensione reciproca. | ||
