AB Il saggio costituisce una meditazione sul tema dell’inizio. Le vicende della storia della filosofia, brevemente ripercorse, mostrano come il pensiero non riesca a padroneggiare adeguatamente la questione dell’inizio, ma neppure possa semplicemente farne a meno. L’ermeneutica, consapevole del fatto che dell’inizio si parla pur sempre solo dopo l’inizio, ne fornisce probabilmente la migliore comprensione. Ed è forse ciò che le diverse età della vita, ciascuna nel modo suo proprio, cercano di guadagnare: un vero inizio che sia pienezza.
AB The essay is a meditation on the theme of the beginning. The history of philosophy, briefly retraced, shows how thought cannot adequately master the question of the beginning, but neither can it simply avoid it. Hermeneutics, aware that we can speak about the beginning only after the beginning, probably provides the best understanding. And that is perhaps what the different ages of life, each in its own way, seek to achieve: a true beginning.
