Une telle perspective pose la question du cadre juridique a appliquer, en particulier celle du recours a l'institution de la "paroisse religieuse", regulee par le can. 520 en regime latin. Formellement, la loi canonique ne prevoit pas la commission d'une paroisse a une association de fideles, forme juridique habituellement choisie par les mouvements. Toutefois, certaines de ces realites ecclesiales, que nous designons par "collectivites associatives" presentent un ensemble de caracteristiques les rapprochant des instituts de vie consacree. Fortes de l'evolution recente du magistere en faveur d'un elargissement de la doctrine des charismes collectifs aux mouvements et aux communautes nouvelles, ces "collectivites" offrent desormais les elements necessaires pour repondre a ce qui fait le cur de l'economie du can. 520: l'exercice d'une pastorale inspiree par un charisme collectif propre, au service des besoins specifiques d'une communaute locale de fideles.
