| 520 | |a Tomando como punto de partida la pregunta que a sí mismo se hace Agustín en una pasaje de Confesiones III.2.10 acerca de la posibilidad de que las cosas ficticias y los espectáculos teatrales provoquen misericordia, se pretende en el presente artículo abordar su visión del teatro y la relación de ésta con su ambivalente concepción el placer estético. El trabajo está dividido en tres partes de extensión desigual. En la primera se plantea el problema y se dan las claves para el desarrollo de la investigación que así comienza. Se analizan, además, los antecedentes de la visión de Agustín, dando un lugar de preferencia a las reflexiones que Platón trae sobre el tema en su República. En la segunda, “La paradoja del placer estético”, nos sumergimos de lleno en los textos agustinianos, en especial en las Confesiones y La Ciudad de Dios, para identificar y analizar los pasajes en los que Agustín señala una contradicción y manifiesta su extrañeza. En la tercera parte, por último, “La misericordia y el teatro” se pasa lista de manera ordenada y sumaria a los resultados obtenidos y se presenta una posible conclusión | ||
| 520 | |a Taking as starting point the question that Augustine asks himself in a passage of Confessions III.2.10 about the possibility that fictional things and theatrical shows provoke mercy, it is intended in this paper to address his vision of theater and its relationship with his ambivalent conception of aesthetic pleasure. The work is divided into three parts of unequal extension. In the first one, I reveal the problem and givethe keys for the development of the research that begins. In addition, I analize the background of Augustine´s vision, giving a place of preference to the reflections that Plato brings on the subject in his Republic. In the second, "The paradox of aesthetic pleasure", I immerse fully in the Augustinian texts, especially in the Confessions and the City of God, to identify and analyze the passages in which Augustine points out a contradiction and manifests his strangeness. In the third part, finally, "Mercy and theater" I propose an orderly summary of the results obtained anda possible conclusion. | ||
