Summary: | As the title reveals, this book is written in Swedish and is about the relationship between young people living in Sweden and religion. Or as underlined by the two editors in the introduction, to be more precise it is about their religiosity, accentuating the sociological point of departure of the book and underlining the need to focus on religion as more than faith - not least when trying to discover whether religion matters to young people in modern-day Sweden, or indeed plays any role at all in their lives. As stated throughout the book, religion is a very diverse, multifaceted phenomenon which is determined by its context, making it very difficult to measure. It is a social phenomenon, so it needs to be seen in relation to society as a whole. |
