AB Der Beitrag setzt sich mit dem Perspektivenwechsel im Schatten des Kolumbusjahres 1992 auseinander und thematisiert einige Aufgaben, die diese Felder betreffen: die nicht aufgearbeitete päpstlich-kuriale Mitverantwortung für den Kolonialismus, die kolonialethische Debatte zwischen Kolonialismusbegründung und Kolonialismuskritik, die Begegnung mit den anderen Religionen und die postkolonialen Theologien. Dabei plädiert er für eine kritische Relektüre der Mitverantwortung von Theologie und Kirche am Kolonialismus, aber auch für eine selbstbewusste Wahrnehmung der universalistischen, kolonialismuskritischen europäischen Tradition angesichts der Globalisierungskrisen der Gegenwart, für eine Theologie der Religionen auf dem Boden eines aufgeklärten Inklusivismus, und für eine kritische theologische Rezeption der postkolonialen Theorie.
AB This contribution traces the change of perspective in the wake of the Columbus year 1992 and formulates some tasks: the unresolved papal and curial co-responsibility for colonialism, the colonial-ethical debate between the justifcation for and the critique of colonialism, the encounter with other religions and postcolonial theologies. I propose a critical re-reading of the co-responsibility of theology and church for colonialism, but also a confdent perception of the universalistic tradition of European criticism of colonialism in view of the globalization crises of the present, a “theology of religions” on the base of an enlightened inclusivism, and a critical theological reception of postcolonial theory.
