Looking at the way K. Rahner explained the sacraments I argue that they have that same structure in Catholic thinking: they are a subject-related objective reality in such a way that this objective reality could not exist without its subject-relatedness. The theological methodology of B. Lonergan analyzes how theological knowledge in general is subject-related and subject-mediated and how this must be seen as a kind of religious conversion. From both Rahner's and Lonergan's approaches I try to describe the interrelatedness and function of kairos, sign of the time, and sacrament. | ||
